Iain Lees
Strategic Power Group Finance Director
Iain is a qualified Chartered Accountant and Corporate Finance professional of more than 25 years experience.
He was intimately involved in the development and financing of wind turbine developer, Simple Power and the Dale Farm private wire, large scale commercial solar farm development in NI where he was an investor and project lead.
His experience includes working in private (Warmfill) and listed corporates (BT PLC, Optimisa PLC, Pacific Green Technologies Inc.) and providing corporate finance advice at Big 4 accountancy practices (PwC, Deloitte) and includes financing, M&A and due diligence projects across many sectors, but with a particular focus on energy and infrastructure in the UK and Ireland.
Most recently, Iain has acted as principal on a number of energy projects (GEINI - small wind, iPower - standby power generation, with responsibility for funding and structuring, PPAs and technology partner negotiations.
