Developing Solar PV

As countries around the world grapple with the threat of energy supply shortages in the move away from fossil fuelled generation, renewable energy plays an increasingly critical part in keeping the lights on.

In Ireland, the use of renewable energy generation in 2017 avoided €278 million in fossil fuel imports, reducing Ireland’s energy import dependency from 89% in 2015 to 66% in 2017.

At Strategic Power Projects we have embraced the advances in Solar & Battery Storage technology to ensure security of renewable energy supply across the island of Ireland.

Solar PV is now a competitive, mature technology. It is the fastest growing, and easiest to deploy renewable energy globally. Solar farms produce no emissions, are visually unobtrusive and have little to no impact on their local environment.
